SEATTLE — Committee for Children (CFC), the global leader of research-based social-emotional learning education, was recently recognized with the 2016 Partnership Award presented by the Children’s Trust during the 24th annual “A View from All Sides” Parenting Education and Support Conference in Boston. CFC’s Executive Director Joan Cole Duffell was on hand to accept the award, which recognizes an organization or entity that has worked with the Children’s Trust and whose partnership has directly affected the goals of the organization.

“Committee for Children is thrilled to receive this honor,” said Executive Director Joan Cole Duffell. “For over 35 years, our organization has been dedicated to fostering the social and emotional development, safety, and well-belling of children through education and advocacy, and thoughtful collaborations like the one we have with the Children’s Trust.”

The Partnership Award began in 2014 as the Children’s Trust looked to highlight organizations that have developed strong and long-lasting relationships and have demonstrated an understanding and commitment to the mission of the Children’s Trust.

“Committee for Children’s leadership in the connected fields of promoting the healthy social and emotional development of children and the prevention of child sexual abuse is truly outstanding,” said Suzin Bartley, Executive Director of the Children’s Trust. “Their work is built upon the very best practices and evidence-based approaches in addressing the various needs and interests of professionals, parents, and children.”
