Title: Design Intern
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Lead Designer
I. Job Summary
Assists in the conception, design, and preparation of graphic material for Committee for Children (CfC).
II. Essential Functions
- Uses a wide range of graphic art media to communicate CfC brand.
- Assists with developing graphic concepts and finished materials to meet customer needs.
- Assists lead designer with CfC Web site and digital media projects.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance of set work schedule.
- Performs other tasks as requested by lead designer. The essential functions are not the exclusive requirements of this position.
- Required education and experience
- Enrollment in a college-level design/communications training program
- Knowledge of graphic design and printing preparation standards
- Some proficiency in computer design, image generation, and desktop publishing
- Knowledge of digital media design technology and techniques
- Experience with digital media design and production process
- Experience with Macintosh platform and related design software
- Prefer
- Web design/coding experience
General office and computer use for approximately 10–15 hours a week.

Gain real design experience in a busy marketing and design team. Assist with day-to day design projects and see them through the printing process. A stipend will be paid on completion of the internship.
