Marketing Manager

The marketing manager will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies and tactics for the PreK–12 education sector and beyond to grow our mission, enhance our brand, and drive revenue. We’re looking for someone who has the ability and passion to execute highly relevant and compelling cross-media marketing campaigns specifically designed for targeted audiences within various segments. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new marketing systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Marketing Planning and Execution

  • Work with the department director to develop and execute marketing plans
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing improvement of marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
  • Manage online and print marketing, advertising, trade shows, and promotional activities within budget and with a high level of collaboration with the sales and retention teams
  • Develop key metrics and report on the effectiveness of marketing tactics
  • Facilitate the creation of sales presentations designed for webinars and in-person delivery
  • Oversee the development of videos to support sales and marketing efforts, including testimonials, documentaries, product information, and promotions
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, coordinating with the Marcomm Creative team
  • Manage the use of marketing technologies, planning for future growth and evolution of technologies, and ensuring team training and adoption of new tools and systems
  • Act as an advocate for integration of customer data with cross-departmental teams
  • Liaise with consulting, research, and freelance vendors as contracted to support marketing needs
  • Integrate comprehensive brand strategy
  • Act as a key stakeholder for the online customer experience, analyzing web stats and adjusting strategy for maximum impact and return on investment
  • Maintain awareness of competitors and emerging trends in marketing and advertising through industry publications, memberships, and event attendance

Personnel Management

  • Manage digital marketing specialist, data specialist, and events manager
  • Support staff performance through formal and informal coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
  • Develop and manage marketing activities budget, monitor projected vs. actual expenditures, and revise budget or plans as needed

Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in business with marketing emphasis or similar degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing management experience
  • 3 years of experience developing digital and content marketing strategies
  • Experience in a business-to-business marketing environment
  • Experience overseeing new product launch strategies
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight


  • MBA
  • Education or edtech marketing experience
  • Experience at both for-profit and nonprofit organizations
