This new research-based program teaches middle school students vital skills that steer them away from risky situations and help them build strong social connections. The program focuses on:

  • Bullying prevention
  • Substance abuse prevention
  • Violence prevention
  • Empathy and communication
  • Emotion management and coping
  • Problem solving, decision making, and goal setting

The curriculum uses several teaching strategies, including group discussion; individual, partner, and group activities; and interactive exercises, games, and skill practice.

Meet Academic Requirements
Lesson content and learning strategies align with academic and life-skills standards. Lessons include ideas for integrating skills into language arts, social studies, health/science, and media literacy.
