Federal Stimulus FAQ
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I use ARRA/stimulus funds to buy Committee for Children programs?
Educators often use federal funds such as Safe and Drug-Free Schools, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Title I to purchase our programs. They are able to use these funds because our programs meet specific aspects of the funding requirements and/or have been endorsed by several government organizations.
The ARRA will provide substantial funding to Title I, IDEA, and Head Start programs. Committee for Children programs align with many of the goals of these programs and the overall goals of the ARRA. They also align with the main principles for distribution and use of education funds under the ARRA.
