Federal Stimulus FAQ

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Frequently Asked Questions

7. Can Committee for Children programs be used in nonprofit, community-based, after school, and/or faith-based settings?

Yes! Our programs are currently used in all of these settings and more. For example, the SECOND STEP program is being used in a juvenile center in West Virginia, and Head Start programs, childcare centers, and other pre-kindergarten programs in Skagit County, WA. The TALKING ABOUT TOUCHING program has been used in the Children’s Corner Daycare and Preschool at Newton-Wellesley Hospital Newton, MA and with the children of migrant seasonal farm workers through the Washington State Migrant Council.
