Federal Stimulus FAQ

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Frequently Asked Questions

9. Do you have evaluation tools or research to help us show that your programs are working?

We provide a number of evaluation tools to measure success for the SECOND STEP and STEPS TO RESPECT programs. We also sell the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) Kit, which measures Preschool/Kindergarten students’ positive social and emotional resources and abilities and complements the SECOND STEP Preschool/Kindergarten curriculum.

In addition, research has demonstrated the SECOND STEP, STEPS TO RESPECT, and TALKING ABOUT TOUCHING programs to be effective, and the SECOND STEP and STEPS TO RESPECT programs have been approved by several government organizations.
