Training
Training plays a vital role in your success with our programs. Our training helps every member of your staff learn and practice the skills they need to address bullying successfully.
Why Train the Whole School?
When a child is brave enough to report bullying, school personnel must be willing and able to respond. Training for all staff is at the heart of the STEPS TO RESPECT program, so bullying can be properly reported, addressed, and prevented.
To create a safe and respectful learning environment, all adults who have contact with students—bus drivers, playground monitors, office and custodial staff, teachers, and counselors—can incorporate bullying prevention into every part of the school day. Families also participate in trainings and receive resources to support their child's prevention efforts.
You'll gain:
- Hands-on experience and practice with program materials.
- An understanding of key concepts and the research behind the program.
- Ideas for teaching the program in your unique setting.
- Skills to lead a training session on your own (if you attend a Facilitator Training).
