Success Story:
An Excellent Resource

Deacon Anthony Rizzuto, Director
Office of Child Advocacy, Implementation, and Oversight
Archdioscese of Boston

Having received many questions recently about children's programs concerning personal safety and abuse prevention, I wish to recommend the TALKING ABOUT TOUCHING program as an excellent resource.

When choosing a personal safety program, the Boston Archdiocese empanelled a group of top experts in the field of child sexual abuse prevention and personal safety education. The TALKING ABOUT TOUCHING program was a clear first choice among this group of professionals because of its research base and outcomes showing effectiveness in teaching targeted skills to children; its strong pedagogic underpinnings and professional training for staff; its excellent parent education component; and finally, ease of use by teachers.

Having implemented the program over the past several years, I heartily concur with the decision of these professionals to select and approve the TALKING ABOUT TOUCHING program for the Boston Archdiocese. Our schools have been using the program with great satisfaction since early 2003, and we have since rolled it out successfully to our religious education programs.
