Book Reviews

Everybody Has Something by Margaret Domnick

Reading level: All ages

This children's book reminds us that we all have something that makes us unique. Each page has a brightly colored photograph of a real child with a real condition, such as asthma, cancer, or trouble concentrating. This book is a lovely tool for empathy building for all ages. Each person I share it with names five people they want to have see it. Domnick's own children's struggles with issues of diversity and acceptance inspired her to begin writing books. She works as a speech pathologist in the public schools.
