Let Me Count the Ways: Confessions of a Technophile

My name is Andrea and I am a technophile. I love technology and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Don’t get me wrong, Short Circuit isn’t exactly my idea of a romantic movie—though I did have a little crush on Johnny-Five when I was in first grade. I make time to play with my dogs, I still read books printed on real paper, and the people in my life are more important than my iPod, but technology holds a special place in my heart. We just click…or should I say double-click? I’m especially taken with technology that helps people connect and collaborate. That is why, on this Valentine’s Day, it is with great pleasure that I announce to you that Committee for Children is in the midst of redesigning the community to better meet your needs!

The new community space will be much easier to use, cooler to look at, and—best of all—it will incorporate many of your own suggestions. It’s a day for love and I, for one, love the look, feel, and functionality of the new community. You’ll see the changes sometime in April, but I couldn’t resist giving you a sneak peek. So, without further ado, I present a Valentine’s tribute to new and improved online community:

How do I love thee, new community design? Let me count the ways.
