Advocacy in Action

Primary Prevention Action Alert

A child who feels safe, supported, and confident is a child who is ready to learn. But currently, US youth are experiencing increased rates of sadness, hopelessness, and suicidality.

That’s why, now more than ever, kids need primary prevention to help protect them from risk factors that can turn into a crisis. An important part of primary prevention is teaching children to build life skills like problem-solving, navigating big emotions, and fostering healthy relationships.

We launched our new campaign, All Kids Safe and Well, to take action and raise awareness about how building life skills can support the safety and well-being of all kids today, tomorrow, and for years to come.

Use the widget to urge your state and federal lawmakers to support access to building life skills as a part of primary prevention. We’ve provided a prewritten letter that you can edit if you’d like to include a personal message.

Together, we can help ensure each young person gets to develop the skills they need to navigate challenges and be ready to learn and thrive.
Thank you for advocating with us!
