Committee for Children Wins 2019 Communicator Award

SEATTLE — Committee for Children (CFC), the global leader in research-based social-emotional learning (SEL) programs, has been recognized by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) as a 2019 Communicator Awards Winner for its Captain Compassion: Imagine a World Without Bullying campaign. The campaign received the Award of Distinction in the category of Integrated Campaign: Social Responsibility.

With over 6,000 entries received from across the United States and around the world, The Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program celebrating creative excellence by communications professionals. The annual competition honors the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations, and identity work for print, video, interactive, and audio.

“We are extremely proud to recognize the work received in the 25th Annual Communicator Awards. This class of entries we received this season embodies the ever-evolving marketing and communications industry,” noted Derek Howard, director of the AIVA. Equipped with the superpower to inspire others to be kind and respectful in the face of adversity, Captain Compassion, the character at the center of Captain Compassion: Imagine a World Without Bullying, is a socially conscious superhero that parents can use to help communicate the approachable, research-based bullying prevention information from the campaign site,
