Committee for Children Wins Five Communicator Awards

Grow Kinder Podcast, Captain Compassion, Winter Well-Being, and Celebrate Educators Videos Honored

SEATTLE—Today, the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts announced the winners of the 2022 Communicator Awards. A global leader in social-emotional learning, Committee for Children was honored with five awards for its Grow Kinder Podcast, Captain Compassion campaign, Winter Well-Being campaign, and Celebrate Educators video series.

The leading international awards program recognizing excellence in communication across a spectrum of industries, championing effective and meaningful work, The Communicator Awards has recognized excellence, effectiveness, and innovation across all areas of communication for more than thirty years.

Grow Kinder Podcast

A first-of-its-kind social-emotional learning (SEL) podcast, Grow Kinder® features conversations with thought leaders in education who explore how SEL can help us navigate society’s most pressing challenges and create a kinder, more compassionate world. The 2021 mini-season of Grow Kinder was honored with an Award of Excellence in the Society & Culture Podcast Series category and an Award of Distinction in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Podcast Series category. Captain Compassion 2021

The annual Captain Compassion campaign features superhero comic strips that empower kids and families to use their upstander power to recognize, report, and refuse bullying. Winter Well-Being 2021-2022

Hosted by psychologist, parent-child relationship expert, and mom Dr. Tia Kim, Winter Well-Being features an annual video series that provides tips and research-based advice to help families take care of their well-being.
