Bullying on the Rise

Download Comic

Download Comic

Captain Compassion® is shown on a faraway planet. She has fiery pink hair and teal skin and is wearing a blue and purple superhero outfit. Captain Compassion sees a bullying problem starting on Earth.
A student in a green T-shirt reports to his principal, a man in a brown suit and yellow tie, that there is social-media-related bullying going on at school. The student shows the principal his phone.
Captain Compassion magically begins emerging from the principal’s phone screen; the student is happy to see Captain Compassion and the principal is surprised.
Captain Compassion fully materializes from the phone until she is life-size and tells the boy and the principal her plan to help stop bullying.
The next day, at a school assembly, the principal is on stage with Captain Compassion in an auditorium. Students are in the audience in the dark, and their phone screens are lit up as they comment on social media about the assembly using angry, bored, and laughing emojis.
A boy in a green shirt is shown in a social media post proclaiming that “kindness is for the weak.” He looks angry and is yelling his words, and many students’ phones show his face and emoji reactions to him.
